Default Actron CP9180 scanner

Hi All,
Anyone have any suggestions....

Check engine light came on, so I stopped and picked up the Actron CP9180 scanner. Plugged it in under the dash - nothing. It was supposed to power up... Plugged it into my pickup & live was good.

Something I don't know about with Hummers? Its an '05 SUT if it matters.

Thanks,
Dave

I had same problem as you... Check your cigarette adapter and see if you have power. I found that the left most cig adapter has no power... I heard somewhere that the OBD and cig adapters are on same circuit? I checked all my fuse and they are all fine? something isn?t quite right?
Anyway, I ran power from fuse box to the OBDii to supply the power?
...

Thank you both - most likely what it is - as a smoker, I noticed that the lighter stopped working since the last time I had that facia off to get at the radio. I probably grounded the hot lead by accident and popped the fuse. I never would have figured that out.

I'll check in the daylight - thanks again!

Exactly - the 15 A under the hood.

The code was a P0332 - knock sensor Background Noise Low Fault Bank B

Probably a cold weather crap gas thing...

Thanks again, good to know I didn't waste $175 on the scan tool.
