Default XM Antenna Wire - Single or Double

Does the stock XM antenna use a single or double wire to the HU? Will one of these adapters work with the Sirius/GM adapter box to eliminate needing to use the add'l antenna? Has the Monsoon system with XM. Also, what would be needed to put a double-din nav screen, as far as the Onstar system?

Edit: This is not my first post but I lost the password to my other username and I've changed emails so I reregistered... and I've been searching my arse off.....

Two wires come from the stock xm antenna, a xm wire than goes to the xm tuner and another wire which goes to onstar (cellular communication).

Dont really know about the adapters but the xm wire is single so i guess the second link you posted would be better.

To put a nav and keep onstar you will need to purchase a interface/module which goes onto the truck's radio wiring harnes and the nav unit. I used a peripheral, there is also pac and maybe other brands. If you switch the radio you will also loose the chimes (open door, seat belt and so on) unless you purchase another module. I put in both, total cost for modules around 150 dollars.

if your gona do the nav install, f5fstop wrote a great "installation manual" for the pioneer z1 a while back. Even if your not installing that unit you can take a look, i think he talks about the onstar interfaces and other good stuff.

hope this helps.
