Hi,
I need to get a ski rack for my H2. I have the factory mounted rack bars, and I had trouble getting other racks (for the kayak, for example), because they don't fit the size of these bars. Yakima and Thule, for example, don't support it.
What are you using for your skis? I don't want to mount any other accessory, I'm looking for something to simply attach to the existing bars.
Thank you,
CHris

Hummer has ski-racks branded to fit on the factory rack, I purchased them last year ( haven't used them yet, I believe they have two ski & four ski racks ). I also have the hard-pod Hummer branded top for the roof rack, I've used that mutliple times for long trips, its awesome!

I have the 4 ski roof rack & tested it briefly ( didn't mount it, just sized it up ) and the hard pod & ski rack should both fit on the roof at the same time w/o any problems....I'll be testing it this year for sure!!

search the forums, I and others have talked about it. The Hummer branded roof racks were the same price as the other mfr's, as i recall.

If you don't feel like climbing up on the roof to put the skis up or take them down, you might want to consider a hitch mounted ski carrier.

I have the Thule 4 bike hitch mounted carrier. It rules, they make quality stuff.

One of the first things I bought for my truck was the factory snowboard / 6 ski rack. I did purchase it online vs. the dealer and saved some $$.

It fits great and no complaints...
