Ok- so I'm on my way to work this morning and I stop at a stop light. Some guy pulls up next to me and he's checking out my H3. Then he revs his motor a couple times and nudges forward. I'm thinking what an idiot- he's wants to race me. I didn't fall for it knowing my HUMMER isn't exactly fast.
We get to the next light and he does it again. Third light -you guessed it- he did it again.
This time I had enough. I reved up my massive 5 banger to let him know the race was on. We both nudged forward as if to stage for the light. Waiting.... waiting.... GREEN! We're off! Not exactly a tire squealing, pavement smoking event but we were off just the same.
I'm mashing the go fast pedal so hard I got a cramp in my foot and for some reason I found myself ducking my head as if it would reduce wind drag!
When I noticed he wasn't in front of me I looked out the side window- hmmm not there. I looked in the rear view mirror and I'll be damned if I didnt put a spanking on him!! In your face little dude!
Oh bye the way- did I mention he was in a Honda Element?

Your ducking-your-head-to-reduce-drag idea will only work if the windows are rolled down and the sunroof is open. You can try it again next time.

Top speed in 4 low is 20 or 22 I believe. Then it will dissengage by itself.
I have never discovered this myself but did read it somewhere.

Your saying you hit top speed and it disingages . I know if you have a locker it will disingage around 20-22 mph is that what you mean ?.I thought it would just top out and rev or rev limiter would kick in.Thought it would be faster than 22 mph .I'll have to give it a test run in the rain or dirt dont want to beat on it in 4 low on dry pavement.
