The factory navigation radios will be out in the H3's very soon. I just wanted to take a poll to see how many people that currently own H3's would be interested in having a factory nav radio retrofitted into their trucks.

There's always a way to do stuff like that. Have to wait for the trucks to come out first so we can see what needs to be done to make it work.

I have to go with no desire. For something that will only be used on long trips, I have my Garmin, and for off-road I have my Magellan Topo filled with topographical maps, including all the interesting spots in National Parks (such as arches in the middle of no where in Arches NP).
Besides, if it is a $1900.00 option from the plant, how much will it be after delivery. Even though it appears to be plug and play (plus another GPS antenna).

As for playing a movie, that will be a no. GM will not take the liability. Many states are starting to enact laws to make this illegal from the driver's position.

I have to also vote no desire. Not that I don't like the system, but most owners have a vehicle or two in the family and if you install a system in each at about $2,100 plus. You can buy a nice remote unit to go into any vehicle including your friends for a lot less. BTW f5fstop is the Garmin running on an IPAQ system? I am considering that for myself.

I have to say No to that question as well. i think the price would be too high. both me and my wife agreed that the theft rate is High here in las vegas. so we desided to not have any extra DVD or head units of high value installed in our H3. Ive got a Magellan and i load it up with everything i need in a trip.
Hmmmmmm i still want to play MP3 though

I would have to say no as well. There will not likely be any were near the desired options for the no doubt extremely high price.

FYI, for any NorCal H3 owners, I know of a Hummer dealership that is installing the H2 Nav system into the H3 with little effort. Cost is reasonable because the H2 Nav is readily available. I saw one they did and it looks clean and factory fresh.

Hey T. I have been there done that with an IPAQ. I found the antenna and signal continuously loses signal and searches for the sats. The receiver really needs to be outside with the horizontal windows of a Hummer. I spent a bunch of money for all the cables, s/w and receiver. I finally bought a Garmin 276C which handles both detailed roads and can be used on my boat too. A little pricey but it has a huge 3.8-inch diagonal, 480 x 320 pixel, 256-color TFT screen with adjustable LED backlight.
