I just ordered a bunch of stuff from Lynch Hummer and few guys on eBay. I tried unsuccessfully to install a lower grille insert. That being said, I don't trust myself to start drilling parts of my new Hummer. I was thinking it's probably easy stuff for someone handy and was thinking I might be able to find a place that I could have install all my cool new accessories (roof rack, lower grille, mudflaps, gas cap, etc). Auto body shop?

Any suggestions? Dealer is out -- he wanted $600 to install the gascap (gas cap was of course included)

TIA
Chris

Click the link below, it's very detailed and will give you greater confidence. Do NOT have the dealer install anything. Perhaps a fellow forum member could help you.

I too bought the gas cap and lower grille insert. I haven't received them yet but I've done two chrome gas caps in our previous H2's. It helped to have step by step pictures like what Crisco provides.

As for the lower grille, why is it so difficult? You're getting me worried!

It's actually easy, but I have a brush guard. If I didn't have that, it would be a breeze. I have to look into what's involved with removing the brush guard.

kacyk, do you know where Crisco got the double din adapter that appears to match the H3 cut out just right? I am considering going this route for extra storage space.

Thanks for the link!
