Hi, please be gentle, its my first post in this forum.

Just got an H3 with the base radio, and i wanted to know what i needed to do to get XM radio on it. I see that the radio already has an "i" and "Cat" button, so i take it that its ready, just perhaps needs the XM antenna and subscription...

am I on track, or way off?

I have base radio as well......does not have XM in it. You need the next model up. I was looking to get a replacement delco/gm radio, found one but was a monsoon.....so that will not work.....as many people have done, looks like best option is aftermarket radio and xm setup.

I replaced my base radio with the Alpine 9820xm it gives me built in xm tuner ,just add antenna and I also have my Ipod hooked up to the Alpine.
