Default H2 Stubby Antenna...anyone has one? & does it work?

Does anyone have one on their truck?

Does it work good?

Where do you buy one?

Thanks

I'm curious also. I'd like to replace mine as well.
Unfortunately most of this forum's members only check in about every 2-3 months it seems with the exception of about 5-10 die-hards such as us.

^I do like the one posted. It looks like one of those flexible ones that end up bending over time so a shorter...fatter.....rigid one would be great....the antennae people....

I simply shortened my stock antenna. Only did it so that the antenna was shorter than my roof. I haven't noticed a difference in reception with radio and it was really easy to do. Took 5 minutes.

Just take your antenna off the truck and place in a vise. Use the pry side of a hammer or similar to pop the antenna "ball/tip" off. Careful tho as mine went flying. Then took a cutting wheel grinder and shortened to desired length. Used a jb weld type epoxy to put antenna "ball/tip" back on. Finally sprayed antenna with some black rattlecan i had laying around to touch up any scratches. and your done.

Should be fine without the adaptor but if you find you need one then you probably can get one at a local parts store. I have this antenna and it was o.k. without adapter.

Same one as linked above or a different one? If you're sure it fits an H2 I'll take it.

$10 shipped?

I'm assuming that's the Amazon one from the link?

Also did you need the adapter?

It looks good, need to put my order in!

Yes it was purchased from the amazon link

It comes w/a threaded adapter that you thread the antenna ...and then to truck.

Looks good...wish there was a rubber boot to make it look factory...like the pic on that blue H2....

but it works!

that looks like the factory boot, are you sure the factory one doesn't come off the metal antenna?

I wouldn't want to run with it off since I'm sure it would collect water in there.

I just trimmed the top of the factory boot and made it fit I didn't need the threaded adapter for mine, this antenna even fits the little tiny one on the roof.
