PARAGON AP might be closing
Quote:
Before the rumor mill starts to fly. We want to be up front with all our customers and supporters. Currently Paragon and PCA Corporation (land owner) is in legal dispute over our lease agreement for this property. We have done everything within our powers to honor our agreements with the land holding company, but they are trying to evict us from the premesis so they can sell the property. We are still in business and will remain in business as long as possible and we are fighting this with every measure available.
We know the next question is how can you help. Unfortunately, there really isn't anything you can do. We would however, appreciate everyone's hopes and prayers for a good outcome.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kyle & Stephanie Knosp

I have no idea what the cost is but why not buy the land?

Yes, that is an option. If you know how to come up with 30+ million dollars, please let us know.

Oh, that sucks! I know that they probably make a pretty good income at the park. But with the advent of the huge industrial parks and the distribution centers nearby (well, all up and down 81), I bet the value of that land has increased significantly. It would really be a great loss if Paragon closed. I guess it would mean good things for Raush Creek however.

On any given Saturday, Rausch Creek would have a 50 vehicles on each mile of trail.

Yeah, that's the real problem with Paragon closing. I like Rausch better do to i) the lack of ATVs and bikes and, ii) the fact that it's easier to arrange for small party runs (i.e., 2-3 trucks).
I am surprised at the value being attributed to these land parcels, though. I thought the whole idea behind Paragon and Rausch Creek was that due to the previous land use (strip mine?) they were unsuitable for just about everything BUT 4-wheeling!
