order number

i've been reading this site daily for at least 4 months now, and all your great comments have helped immensely. i ordered my slate blue lux H3 a couple weeks ago. i just got my order number from the dealership. what's my next step?
i know this has been discussed before, but alas, my memory is not that good.
also, is it a good or bad sign that i'm already ordering accessories off of ebay and im a couple months away from getting my new ride?!

Welcome to the boards Hummer eh!
I haven't been here long myself and have also learned so much here. I had to call my salesman to get the order number, as if he had no idea that you could get the build date from it. After I had it, I then called 1-800-732-5493 and asked them if they could get my build date from my order number. From my experience and also from reading other posts here, you will be put on hold for a minute or two while they check. I was shocked when I called them on Sept 14th, only to find out that the build date was going to be on the 12th. I thought..ohhhh man, I have a month to wait. Then the guy on the phone noticed the dissapointment in my voice and said. "That was Monday" It had already been built and he said it was probably just finishing inspections. It shipped on the 15. I'm sure it's in Cleveland now, I'm just waiting for them to call.
Good luck with your new H3 when it arrives. I think a lot of people are adding accessories.

unfortunately as a canadian, the hummer customer service line is useless. but they did patch me through to GM Canada and i gave them my order number. build date is Oct 10, which is thanksgiving day up here,very exciting. i can call them back then to get an idea on shipping. louisianna to alberta, i've no idea how long that'll take. thanks again for the help.
