Default My H3 vs. Toyota Corolla

So I was trying to merge onto a 3 lane street this morning when I got rear-ended by young lady in a 4 door Toyota Corolla.

I guess she tapped me between 8-10 mph. Spilled my Starbucks in my cupholder. So I pulled up aways into a parking lot and got out to take a look. At first glance, I thought I had imagined getting bumped because I couldn't find a single scratch. It should have been easy to spot as my H3 is covered in salt and dirt/mud from the roads here in western PA.

However, upon closer inspection, my LSU Tiger trailer hitch cover was busted off and the remains shoved deep into the hitch. Ohhh, the pain. I loved that hitch cover.

She finally pulled into the parking lot behind me, apologizng profusely for running into me. We walked around to the front of hers and...............ouch. Trailer hitch left a nice 6 x 8 inch drag mark on the top of her hood, which had a nice dent pressed downwards in the front. It also crumpled backwards about halfway up the driver's side, causing it to raise up about 3 inches. The worst part was her driver's side headlight was shoved in about 4-5 inches...........into the radiator . The driver's side blinker still worked, although it was hanging by the wires down by the wheel.

Poor girl.............

I had a similar situation happen to me last week in the Wally World parking lot...was driving past the main entrance doors when I stopped to let some people cross and a ford taures (sp?) rear-ended me. I immediately got out to inspect the damage and to my surprise I didn't have a scratch! The ford was turning into my lane and smashed right into the rear tow hook...it crumpled up their hood and crushed their headlight & turnlight...everybody that saw it walked up and was saying stuff like, "damn! that's why you drive a hummer!" & "sometimes it's nice to be the 'bigger guy'!".

Anyhow, the guy started yelling at his wife and they got into their car and just drove away...pretty funny actually.

Aaahhh well ...my stories a little different. I backed into a parking space..(No Back Up Cam) .... and very slowly inched back. I had both my mirrors down watching my rear tires and the cement stop blocks.

Aaah... I forgot about the Big 33" tire hanging off the back. There was a sign behind me that said...Reserved Parking For Blah, Blah, Blah,.....As I backed up I heard a moan ..sorta like the Hull on a Tident Sub at crush Depth.

I freaken totaled the sign..bent it back out of the cement. The tire carrier pushed it back first then the trailer hitch trashed it. No marks any where.

I calmly pulled out of that spot and moved over 5 spaces....Yeaaaah..gotta get me a back up cam.
