After all consideration, it looks like a choice has been made. Actually, I was given an allowance....

No Home Depot here, we're going with a local company and getting a Toro Z5000. The owner of the company lives around the corner and I informed the salesman I'd show up at the owner's door if we had a problem.

They'll deliver it, pick it up for service, return, etc., for no charge.

Cub Cadet kinda sux for service locally, so that pretty much took care of the decision.

Pics in the near future.

Ok, so I had to bribe a couple of relatives to push for the ZT, but what she doesn't know won't hurt us... Right....

Smart move staying away from the home depot lines. The machines they sell do not tend to live up to the manufactures reputations.

How do you drink beer when you have to have both of your hands on the levers to control it? Didn't think of that... did you!

Nice try Dei!

Here how about this:

Ken,

I know how badly you want this mower, in fact when I saw it I wanted it too. It would cut time off of your lawn cutting. Especially when you spend all day out there now- getting your waistband all wet and all. You don't have to worry about that anymore. 20 minutes and you're done.

No really, I guess I will be relieved too, gone will be the days... watching you circle around our land that you so valiantly protect. Watching the sweat drip down your body, hugging that steering wheel and turning it like a determined knight, wantonly teasing me ....it makes me so warm down there. I get so bothered and worked up all day, just sitting there- a voyeur in the window softly biting my lower lip. Phew, just thinking about it makes me feel so naughty.

Love,

CP

Yeah, it didn't work, he's still getting it.

It's actually pretty cool, I might ride it around the yard for S's and G's.

Damn if I don't have to cut the grass this weekend and I haven't gotten the new machine. It's going to be gross humid out all weekend, too.

It's the scruffy cut that's so popular these days. I' bet we'll be hearing more about this problem.

DURAMAX TIM is off the scale
Default Re: Cutting the Grass

I've got a New Holland w/ an 84" belly mower.

W/ the super steer it'll turn right back around.

they now have cab models w/ AC so the wife wants me to look into trading up.

BTW, you can drive a ZT w/ one hand, just grab them both and twist your hand to turn. makes drinking and eating while mowing a lot easier.

here's a pic

A little too big for my needs.

I get the new one tomorrow. The manager warned me not to go near the water with it until I'm very comfortable with it.
