Getting vertical in Templeton, MA

Why is it that every time I go out to this trail I scare the living daylights out of myself? Hope these pics do it justice... we only had one camera with a long lens. Just happy I obeyed the command "STOP!" when it was called out to me.

Apparently, when trying to turn to the left, either I just didn't turn the wheels far enough, or they got caught and dragged to the right. The effect of which was that every time I tried moving forward (left & down w/ my tires pointed to the right) was that my tail end kept rising on me. I was unaware of this at the time (I thought I had my tires pointed in the right direction), and was probably heading for disaster if not for the keen eyes of those behind me.

Those are some shots. I think you should send #2&3 to Jason for next months cover shot. If I ever think I'm to pitched over and going to roll I'm going to remember those shots to calm myself. That rear tire looks like it's at least 3' of the ground.
