Default BF Goodrich VS Bridgestone

More specifically, BF Goodrich All Terrain TA K/O's vs Bridgestone Dueler Revos. I've had two sets of the BF Goodrich and know what they are capable of. Funny thing though I had a set of Toyo Open Country A/T's that were siped and I think those were just as good in the snow as the BFG's.

Anyway, it's time to get another winter set for our family SUV. I was going to get another set of the BFG's but I've read a lot of positive reviews about the Revo's.

My biggest concern is how are the Revo's in the snow? The BFG's have the "severe weather" driving symbol and the Revo's don't. But then, neither did my Toyo's and they did just as good.
Any thoughts? We have 5 kids and safety is our biggest concern.

Is this for the H2 or the other family SUV? If it's for the H2, I thought that the Bridgestone wasn't available in that size... I don't have have experience with the Revos, but I have a set of Dueler At's on my wife's Highlander. The regular AT's handle great in wet and snow as well as dry. Off-road/mud they do well also. My brother just put a set of REVO's on his Grand Cherokee and he likes them so far. I don't think you can go wrong with them.. I think I saw a rebate in the paper for the bridgestones - $75 . In any event, they come with the 30 day test drive guarantee, so try them, and if you don't like them then bring them back.

Hey Doc,

It's for the family wagon, Escalade ESV. The stock tire size is 265/70-17. I had 285/70-17 BFG's on last season but the ride was very harsh, I think it was because of the load rating on the 285's. I think the 265 load rating is less so the ride should be better.

try them...you have 30 days to return them if you don't like em... I did that with my wife's vehicle. The firestone dealership wouldn't honor the low price guarantee +10% (costco had them for cheaper) so I told them I was going to return the tires. The firestone guy was like "huh?" So I directed him to their own website. He still refused to take them, so I made a call to corporate, and they got it all straightened out...
I don't think you can go wrong with them...

I am reading exceptional reviews about the Revo's. I was surprised that a couple of times I had to engage 4 Wheel Low on my Yukon to get out of deep snow last year (from a stand still). Since our new Escalade doesn't have a low gear (it's just all wheel drive), I'm somewhat concerned about the BFG's.

I think I will go with the Revo's or a dedicated winter tire like the Winterforce.

Although I don't have any experience with the revos, I have read & heard many good comments on them too. Since I did look into the same tire & size, I want to point out be aware Bridgestone makes 2 different load ratings on this particular tire/size

My dad has put the Revos on several of his work trucks, and from my experience with them they are a great all-around tire.
