What a crock of shat......

It's kind of nice for the beer to still be ice cold when you get home to mow the lawn

It'll never pass. It would be nice to see people from Missouri having to come over to to Kansas to get cold beer instead of us going over to MO for beer on Sunday, cheaper gas, cheaper smokes, bars that stay open till 3...

Take off your sock, wet it. Then put the warm beer can in the sock. Stick it out of your Hummer window and drive down the road for a few minutes at 100 MPH or so.

Even in summer the heat from the beer will go into the wet sock and be cool enough to drink.

Try this in the West first, not in urban areas!

The only reason?!?!? How about so it can be consumed cold within the next hour or two for those of us who don't have liquid nitrogen beer cooling devices. And what about when you need to put something cold on an injury to reduce swelling?

If so many people are popping beers right outside the grocery stores, then I have a recommendation for where the LEOs should go looking for drunk drivers.

Gotta love with little kids dream up policy.

I used to be a beer expert. Hic. I could always taste when a beer had been cold, got warm and was chilled again. I bet the booze lobby will deal with this. Some beers are brewed and transported cold, yes?

Not sure who it was, but one of our state or fed reps (maybe a new fed candidate from elsewhere) said that any legislator with a proposed law much also propose two laws to kill. Pretty good idea!

Too damned bad the libertarian party is so full of cooks. One strong, rational, respected voice could make a lot of change and provide a home for millions of voters that are tired of crap like this.

This comes to mind: (long but funny)

Subject: History of mankind
Humans existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunter/gatherers.
They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer & would go to the
coast and live on fish and lobster in winter.
The 2 most important events in all of history were the invention of beer
and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the
beer.
These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the
catalyst for the splitting of humanity into 2 distinct subgroups:
Liberals and Conservatives.
Once beer was discovered it required grain and that was the beginning of
agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented
yet, so while our early human ancestors were sitting around waiting for
them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how
villages were formed.
Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night
while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known
as "the Conservative movement."
Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live
off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing
the sewing, fetching and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the
Liberal movement. Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into
women. The rest became known as 'girliemen.'
Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats,
the invention of group therapy and group hugs and the concept of
Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that
conservatives provided.
Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most
powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by
the jackass.
Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer
white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their
beef well done . Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.
Another interesting revolutionary side note: most of their women have
higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal
injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group
therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule
because it wasn't "fair" to make the pitcher also bat.
Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide
for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys,
lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police
officers, corporate executives, Marines, athletes and generally anyone
who works productively.
Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to
work for a living.
Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to "govern" the producers
and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans
are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals
remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept
in after the Wild West was tame and created a business of trying to get
MORE for nothing.
Here ends today's lesson in world history :
It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to respond
to the above before simply laughing and forwarding it. A Conservative
will be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will
be forwarded immediately.

I wasn't aware that Missourians were such geniuses.
How about no more frozen popsicles so it will prevent any potential impaling accidents on the way home from the store?

Time to pack up and move, MIZZ.

Damn Marc, you beat me to those. Really sucked going over to MO to buy overpriced beer on Sundays when on Saturday night you accidentally drank the supply for the game on Sunday

Kansas has some of the worst liquor laws but that one is pretty bad.

Marc, I heard that Lawrence just based a law that all businesses, including bars, are completely smoke free. From what I hear, a lot of pissed of bar owners up there. Have you heard if this is true?

It's true, but I avoid that hippie hellhole like a fat girl avoids a diet. KU sure had a good showing against MU last night. Things are looking up here. A bunch of cities have started allowing Sunday liquor sales.

Lawrence sure is full of the hippie wannabes. I have not been there in over 10 years but it was really getting bad last time I was there. I am amazed they are allowing Sunday sales. We had a liquor store in OP years ago and it was hell getting the liquor license.

Need to print out the KU schedule, never know when they are playing. Figure if I am going to fly a KU flag outside my house I better catch some games

Reminded me of a friend who got picked up by a girl at a bar there one night years ago. He was drunk as hell and didn't know where he was in the morning. He woke up staring at a hole in the ceiling in this weird round room. This hippie chick that picked him up lived in a freakin teepee on some farmers land just outside of town

Is there still no open container law there in Columbia? I was shock the first time I was there and walked out of a bar with my beer.
