I put these on back at the begining of Nov but just got around to posting pictures. The filter is in the stock box without the cover on just for the picture, otherwise the cover is on. Cost $218.27 for both. I got them from macromotive.com. Shipping was $16.50 The stock intake tube is one ugly duckling.

I don't know what is going on but I keep getting a message which says my file size is 2107kb which exceeds the 200kb limit. I am only posting one picture. How do I clear out all the uploaded files and start over?

h2 daddy, I was having the same problem last week. I resized my photos to aprox 640 x 480
then attached them. I then deleted my previous posts that failed to include the photos.

I installed Airaid filter in stock box and MIT 2 months ago. I've had no improvement in mileage, but definite acceleration improvement = extra hp. Slight increase in engine noise due to removal of stock air intake tube is OK.

My experience is the same as H2BIG. I am still working on the pictures. You were right blg615 about the resizing issue. I am trying to figure out how to resize my photos.

h2 daddy, my camera is an Olympus. the software included for transfering images to the computer allows for resizing in the "edit image" section.
I'm not sure how to resize without the software.

Thanks guys for your help but I have looked everywhere in my software and can't find the resize function. I have a Canon Power Shot S400 camera. I will have to find the manual and look it up tomorrow.

You guys should try Ulead's Smart Saver Pro. IF you are going to be posting a lot of pictures, it can compress and resize graphic files so they are more web-friendly. In a perfect world, I would suggest not posting pictures larger than 90KB of so to be nice to the modem users out there. Enjoy.

Thats prob a good tip. I had always tried to get to the 200kb limit, but never thought about modem speed vs cable. Thanks

H2 Daddy:
I had the same problem until some wise soul mentioned Power Toys.

Click on this http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../powertoys.asp and scroll down the right side to ImageResizer.exe.

After you download this, everytime you right click on an image, your drop down menu will offer "Resize Pictures". Pick the smallest, then you can delete the original and attach the new one.

If I can do it, anyone can.

Great tip!!

Resizing the image will certainly reduce file size, but it also reduces the size of the physical picture with my kill off some of the sharpness of your photo. You might also try cropping photos in paint as well. Get rid of all the unimportant stuff.

The Ulead program linked above, does cost you some cash, but it will also allow you to compress the file size (through image degradtion that is controllable). We use the tool for every phote we post on the website we run. It keeps our modem users happy. Much nicer for them to download a 56KB file instead of a 2.8MB file of the same "exact" picture.

Also you can open your pictures in paint then go to the IMAGE menu, then to "Stretch/Skew" item and reduce the image equally in the two boxes to resize your photo. Happy image posting.
