A while back someone posted a service bulletin on the SMA Air intake kit. Does anyone show a copy of that? I want to get this kit, but wanted to research this a little more first. I cannot find the post, but thought it mentioned something about voiding the MAF sensor for warranty. anyone?
Thanks,
Tim.

Here is the bulletin in question:

This message pertains to the 2006 HUMMER H3. Stinger-Mac is offering an aftermarket open air box engine intake system, product number 10033201. The design of the air filter box has the potential to allow water ingestion if the driver is fording deep water. In addition, the oil impregnated filter element provided with this kit could impart an oil film on the mass air flow sensor causing driveability issues or turning the "Service Engine Soon" light on. Installation of this product is not recommended and any resulting complications should not be covered by the new vehicle warranty

Yea, are we starting to get the impression that all these air intake systems SUCK? Especially when used on a Hummer (which is meant to used offroad in less than ideal conditions such as dusty environments and fording deep water). I'm surprised the dealers even want to mess with these things.

We don't touch them. My Service Director wanted me to have it in case of a question anyone had since he knows I post on a lot of boards.
