View Full Version : How do u install???

I just recieved my new Realwheels Locking Fuel Door... Man ive tried everything to get that darn fuel bezel off so i can install it but it doesnt want to come out and i dont want to scratch the paint, Does anyone have any advice or have instructions on how to intall it ....IT would be of great help

Take off your gas cap,take out the 3 screws holding the plastic surrounding the fuel neck and turn it counter clock-wise. It helps if you put a screwdriver in the slot at the bottom and use it to get some leverage.

Thanks Ed, ya i got screws out and thats about as far as i got. i couldnt pull the darn thing out.

After the screws are removed you need to turn the plastic cup so the retainers on it line up with the notches on the sheet metal body then pull it out. You may need to use a small pic tool to pull in one of the plastic retainers on the cup so it will release from the sheet metal body. I had the same problem with my first one, now around 10 later I got it down ok. BIG-C
