View Full Version : Question about trans with super chargers
GOT DIRT?

I test drove another H2 with the magnacharger on it and it shifted hard into 2nd even at light acceleration I am wondering if anyone else has this problem or if the demo was beat to hell and the tranny was shot. It was a big difference in acceleration I was impressed but do not want to deal with the hard shifting.

My truck does not have that problem. I suspect someone programmed the computer for firmer shifts.
The GM PCM allows for adjustment of shift pressure. With the right programer, this is done easily. Most likely the shift pressure was raised. I do this at the track and set it back for normal driving.
If not, there could have been transmission work done.
The bottom line is that the SC addition does not cause the increase in shift hardness, adjustments to the tranny do.
H2MNW has it right. Some of us just like a kick in the ass at every shift. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

If you are talking abouth the pewter h2 from ramp the trans has been rebuilt with a corvette servo and bands. It was also programmed with higher line pressure for the shifts
