I need some assistance with these problems. I would prefer to fix myself before taking to the dealership. I have searched, of course, and cannot find what I need here.

1. Key fob not working. New battery and all. I seem to remember something about holding the "lock" and "unlock" buttons down together but could not locate it. So I tried it for a minute and nothing.

2. None of the electronic switches work on the passenger side front. This includes the window, and seat heaters.

3. When turning off the truck the electronics, ie radio, would still work for a few minutes. This does not happen anymore. When I turn off the truck, everything shuts down.

Thanks in advance.

We want your experience owning your 2003 model year Cadillac Escalade,

Thanks Klaus.

I asked the service writer to check for any TSB's. I think I will print this out and take it to him.

Any on an inoperative horn? I have had intermittent problems since I bought it.

Thanks again.

The horns need maximum current flow to operate properly. A high resistance
(greater than 0.5ohms) in the horn control circuit or the horn ground
circuit could cause operating problems with the horns. Inspect the circuits
for faults that would restrict current flow.

The horn relay control circuit includes the horn switch. The horn switch
must be tested for a high resistance, an open or a short to voltage when
testing the relay control circuit.
