For about 2 weeks I've noticed that about 90% of the time while I'm stopped @ light or equivalent I feel a clunking/lurching from the drivetrain. the only way I know to describe it is that if feels like someone has bumped you from behind, like a light tap. It repeats about every 5-6 seconds. I intend to take it in to the dealer after the new year. I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar. Thanks!!!!

I thought this was a 2003 issue, but here is some info. Could you be feeling the drop into 1st gear?

My '06 SUT has done it since new.
My previous Chevy 2001 2500HD pickup did it for 85,000 miles and since new.
I don't plan on taking it to dealer just for this because it is not anything serious. However, I will have them address it next time it's there for something else.
I keep notes about minor issues and then have them look at the minor issues when it's in there for something big. This way I am not spending lots of time at the dealer.

It Doesn't feel like the drop into first gear. It is repetitive every 2 seconds (timed it today) It seems that it is dependant on brake pedal pressure while stopped. The harder the pedal pressure the higher level of frequency it occurs. The feeling is more like the tranny is lurching forward. I wonder if the ABS sensor is fauly and actually releasing or pulsing the brakes while I'm stopped.
