After moving the kids around for a few months the leather back seats on my new 05 are beginning to show some scratches. To make things worse, they are black.

Would after market covers work? Or, would they just make things worse. Who sells nice ones? Thanks.

If the kids are under 2 years old get the small covers;
If the kids are up to 4 years old get them medium covers, and
if the kids are up to 8 years old then get them the large covers.

I have no idea who sells nice kids.

Your dealer should be able to hook you up with some but here is a link for you to try.

I something very similar and they work great. They are a bit expensive but what is the cost of replacing the seats?

Good luck.

Buy the factory Mudder seat covers. I had a set of them until recently(finally wore out the driver's seat cover with deadly nerve gas testing) and they kept all of the leather looking brand new. I let my dog run around the back seat and there's not even a tiny scratch on the leather.
Easily worth the money.

You also might need them if you're experiencing gas with an oily discharge.
(That was one of the side effects of some drug advertised on TV awhile back. I've always thought it was funny.http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif)

I didn't get the nice one's drty has, just the "cheap" one's from the dealer. They serve their purpose, to keep the kid junk off the seats. But I have only had the kids in there twice, if that. And not a scratch from the car seat. If you get these I would put a towel under the kid seat just in case.

I did get them from the dealer. They're called "mudder seat covers".
I think retail is around $260 for the entire set.
