Are these (safe) good for a 2" LIFT?

Yes they are awesome. More you get them more hight you can gain. Two sets for 4" of lift, three sets for 6" and so on.

Thank for the advice. Here in the United States questions are usually answered politely. BTW I did use the find button but I was looking for some more insight and expertise from some newer and knowledgable members with some more insight. Comprende?

I know a couple off rigs on here havev them. I cannot rememeber who put them on. It would nice to hear an update from someone whoe has pounded their H3 with this set up and find out how it all went????

I talked with 4wheel Parts on this, and they told me to stay away from it. Something about casing other issues with the front end.

I think 35's would fit with this set up with little rubbing, but would be wondering about the realiability. Also, I wonder if the shocks will max out with that extra 2" or not. I have no idea at how far the shocks are to extending all the way while feflxed or airborn for that matter.

These are referred to as "Green Keys". You can get them from any Chevy dealer for about $40.00 a pair out the door with tax.

They will give you about 1.5" to 2.0" of lift on the front end. You'll need to get an alignment done afterwards as well.

Do not remove torsion bar keys without the right tool. It is done all the time but it is dangerous to do so--pros use a torsion bar removal tool because they value their body parts.

So what kind of issues can this really cause by doing this mod?

I want to do this to the H3's. Shipbldr, you can run the 37 12.50's on the stock rim without the mod.

I looked into those before I bought the Fabtech. I had checked with quite a few sources and the only answer I could get was that it does ride a little rougher and that eventually over time (I would think a looooong time)the torsion bars beome weaker.

For the few bucks it would cost, it's worth a try, if you don't like it, you'd have roughly 100 bucks in it.

Definitely worth the try.

Orange You are right about a cheap try. Have seen a few off roaders that did it and had trouble as it seems this is not as reliable under the off road use and torsion bar will give up allot quicker under the increased stress. So basicly You are multiplying the torsion bar stress off roading from what it was set at for average or normal use from factory for a combination user or really a street ride.

My studies show use offroad equipment for off road use. You can do the short cuts and will last along time if kept on street.
This is just what I have learned from experienced off roaders and those who have tried it. We have what We call the tow pig that belongs to Dragon that We use to haul rigs to shows and He had done the key change and torsion raising and He after a few months cut back on the torsion raise and I think changed keys. He was just not getting a good ride if I remember right and there was another problem I think but, i appoligize that it slips My brain right now. I have been ill allot this weekend so memory is bad.

There are some 2" or 3" lifts coming out and would suggest You look at them for lasting change and more real functionality.
Let me say also that I know a very few that have run off road and still runing the setup. So sometimes You get that magic rig that everything works that You do to it.

you could replace your torsion bars with those from a 1 ton rig, that will last a bit longer than the stock ones. ride won't be anything to write home about though.
