One of the munchkins who inhabits the rear seat
of my H2 has managed to break off one of the
power outlet covers by repeatedly flipping it
open and closed with her foot. Any one have
any experience replacing these covers? They
look to be pretty well integrated with the
console. Is this a DIY operation?

Thanks.

Bump for a good question!

The one in the cargo area is broken off in my truck. I did not even realize it was supposed to have one for a month or so, so I never beat up the dealer over it....

Just replace it with a plain plug and save yourself the $50 that the dealer will no doubt rip you off for.

You know this sounds just plain stupid, but I never even thought about an aftermarket part. DOH!

Thanks for smacking me in the teeth with the obvious.

Here's what the parts list I have shows. No promises, but the price is right!
