Has anyone experienced a clicking (almost a rattle) sound coming from behind the radio/ac console during acceleration?

Nope. I'm at 6500 miles and haven't noticed anything like that.

The only rattle that sounds like it's coming from that area is my shaded in the overhead compartment. The other is the cd case in the door panel.

the only rattles I notice sound like they are coming from the 2nd row doors. The interior trim on the rear doors just seem loose in general. Other than that, nothing else.

I have no rattle sound anywhere in the Hummer. Sound travels in a strange way in the Hummer. We had some rattling noise when making turns. To the driver, the sound absolutely came from the front passenger door pocket or glove compartment, to the front passenger, sound came from driver door or inside dash, both of us were so sure about the sources of the sound, went on for days. In the end, it was the sun glasses in the overhead compartment. Solution is to use a glasses pouch inside the compartment. Keep this in mind when you investigate your rattling sound.

Hey TX, could that be your engine knocking? I doubt it since the vehicle is relatively new, but it could possibly be that you simply need your engine timing adjusted.

The same thought crossed my mind, but to the best of my ability, while driving at the same time, I have tried to listen to the engine with the windows down and do not here anything outside the vehicle. It is a relatively subtle noise that really can't be heard if the radio is on, but sure is annoying when I have others in the car without the radio on and am in the middle of talking about how great this vehicle is to drive! Not a great testimony, but maybe it will keep a few of my friends from buying one, too!
As far as I am concerned they should shut the plant in Indianapolis down now, http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif well except for those of you who are waiting on orders to be filled of course. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I HAD the same rattle, I THINK, I was freaking for days, had the Gfriend driving the deal hitting bumps and rough roads but it would only do it under acceleration OR hard braking, on DAY THREE I found the problem, IT WAS THE READING GLASSES IN THE OVERHEAD STORAGE COMPARTMENT ,,,,WHEW,,,,,,Well I hope this is your deal,,,,,

Good Luck, oops other than that me Hummer is tighter than a ducks @$$, http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.......

Thanks for the tip on the glasses compartment and you are not the first to have had that experience from what I have been told. I, however, have a sunroof and no sunglasses compartment so back to the drawing board for me I'm afraid - going into the dealership next week for spring break. bc

After use of my hummer like when im parked or even at a red light, I hear a popping noise every several seconds. Does anyone else hear this?
