ok well im 17, still a junior in HS http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif but anyways today started off normal, drove to school, was a looong ass day, and when i was going back to my car i noticed those fxxk's put a parking boot on my tire...they put these on when u park in the wrong spot (we have assigned spaces (mine is 69 http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif) lol. anyways, i wasnt in the wrong spot, they made a mistake and tried to charge me 50 dollars to take it off, i said no, and the deans went back into the building. i thought boots covered up the lugs but this one didnt, so about 15 minutes later i had the spare on there and was pullin away. One of the deans was driving towards me in a golfcart, he looked pissed, and was yelling at me to stop but i just went faster haha, im interested to see what happens when i bring them a cut up boot tomorrow. One of my dads friends is a metal worker dude so he helped me get it off.
heres what it pretty much looked like.

Judging by the title of this thread, I thought it was something Ken posted. He has the sweetest posts. Always very touching.
I try to be very caring to all the little people. Now **** off. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> said all i have to do is pay for the boot (idk how much yet, but im checking online so i dont get ripped off) and pay the 50 dollars to originally get it off </div></BLOCKQUOTE>They still made you pay the $50?
I'd be more pissed about having to by a new boot. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Sad to hear you switched to a Honda. Oh well. Have fun with it. Did you get a good resale for your Hummer?

Ahhh, now I see. I missed that in your post.
You definitely shouldn't have to pay the $50. The whole situation seems like a racket. I'm surprised the parents let the school get away with it.

Good going Adam. I would have dont the same thing. How did you **** up the boot when you cut it off? If you can still piece the boot back together and make it look like its not ruined you should stick it on the deans tire tomarow. See how he likes that.

If you are right and they mistakenly placed the boot on your car, then they have deprived you of the use of your property for no lawfull reason and you should not pay for the destroyed boot. It is akin to someone building a fence on your property--you have every right to remove it with no liability. One caveat--read the parking space agreement to see if it alters your rights. Keep in mind that schools can deprive you of some, but not all, rights simply because it is school property. Disclaimer- I may not know what the heck I am talking about but it sounds pretty good,Huh. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
