I called my local customization store (Audiotronics) and they were going to charge me $1800 for both headrests and a DVD player...I thought the price was a little high, is there an easy way I could install them myself?

That actually sounds like a good price. I checked and they want over $1900 from the online store here at H2source and you have to install them on your own. check them out here. http://www.h2source.com/201-523-1.htm

I plan on installing a set of headrest monitors and a DVD player after Thanksgiving. I really don't want to mount the DVD player under the rear seat, has anyone found a DVD player that will fit in the middle console/glovebox? I have seen small DVD players done that way, but didn't know if anyone here has done it.

If you dont mind moving the onstar buttons to a different location I can get you a DVD only unit to fit there. You would control everything from the drivers seat. BIG-C
