New H3 ..I'm Very Impressed

I finally placed my order and 6 weeks later I have my H3!

2 Days later I hit the dirt. I went thru Last Chance Canyon and Golar Gulch (Mojave Desert for the non-Cal folks). I'm glad I had the rock rails! heh heh.

The low gearing and locker work great.
Very solid, stable and quiet on the Hwy. Wind and 18 wheelers = No Worries

Pics soon

All right Dan!!

Congrats and can't wait to see pics of you wheeling it. As far as posting pics, were you getting an error when trying to post? If so, I know they server quota was exceeded earlier and nobody could post. I am sure Jason will get some space cleared up soon.

hey dan im not an expert but this is how i do it .

save pix in my photos .

then when you open a reply window here on the forum ther is an add attachment link right below dialog box.

click that and it gives the option to browse .

when you select to browse your my pictures will open

then when you get to the pic you want double click over thumbnail it will insert it in the attachment box . then hit post now

you have to type something in dialog box or it wont post , you can just use a smiley too.

good luck http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

That's great.

But I have decided that I will go with the Toyota FJ. The H3 is too gay for me.

I thought you were compensating with an H2. Just guessing but that is what my gut tells me http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I went thru Last Chance Canyon

Not doubting you - but.... personally I can't see a non-lifted H3 doing that canyon for ground clearance issues. I just did it last saturday and had clearance issues with my H2.

Tell me, there is a radical change to that trail in the last year or so. What was the most difficult part of the trail for you? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I went thru Last Chance Canyon and on a few spots I used my side rock rails.

I didn't go thru the V-notch for sure!

I went around a couple of the spots with the biggest rocks since it was my first trip with the H3 and I am learning it's width and clearace etc..

I have a brushguard installed on my H3 and it was easy.
But have a question.. the rubber part supposed to be right up against the chrome grill or is there supposed to be a gap inbetween?
I saw one a the dealer the had one installed and theres was right up against the chrome grill.
I figure that if something would happen like hit a deer or something having a gap there would push it in and couse more damage then it would if it was right up against it. But if it is against it it iposible to clean there.
Just wondering what everybody elses are like and what is the right way to have it?
thanks
Bruce

I thin there is supposed to be a gack between the guard and grill. This is to allow for movement and room for som bumps and impacts

I is hard to clean between there but use a towell
