I use regular, as recommended by HUMMER. I believe other owner's have compared premium and regular fuel in their H3's, and found no improvement in mileage or performance (in earlier posts).

someone tell me why premium is better than regular, in an engine designed to burn regular.

LMAO @ people that think useing premium actually improves performance if it's not required to prevent detonation.

I always give a friend of mine sh!t about running premium in his F150. He says he does it to get better gas mileage. He has never run regular to see if it improves mileage though. I tell him that he isn't helping himself paying $0.20 more per gallon to get an extra mile or two per http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

people trust a car manufacturer to design, test and build a car, but never trust their recommendations about fuel/oil etc. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
only good thing is with the high compression of this eng; you should not get carbon buildup if prem is used

Regular unleaded 87 octane is all you need per Hummer. Anything else and you're just wasting your $$$$. Besides, why would you fill her up with Premium 92 Octane fuel @ over $3+ per gallon http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
