No. 2003s use a "LUX" amp, and 2005s use a "Premium" amp. Head units are not compatible between the two.

Don't tell GM. They say it can't be done. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Glad it's working out for you. Now when are you going to do the factory XM radio retrofit? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I have the '05 Touch screen Nav, Factory XM and my Ipod all running flawlessly? I installed it all with Klaus's Install PDF. I had my local Chevy dealer do the Vin number Reassignment. The Key is when the menu asks for the year of the truck you have to Lie to it and select '04 to get the proper menu choices.

Why is that? I've installed an '05 OEM TNR in my '03 LUX w/XM kit and need to Tech II it. Does that mean I have to select '04 also in order to get proper menu choices??? This is the first I've heard of this after doing much research...most of it on this forum.

yes you need the menu choices for '04 as there was no TSN availble in the '03. It took me 3 trips to the dealer and a very patient Technician to figure it out. Once you know the trick it takes all of 5 minutes.

To clarify, the Tech2 will only give the menus for options that were available from the factory on a given year, make, and model. Since there was no factory navigation option available for 2003 H2s, the menu pick to clear the navigation VIN theftlock is not available.

If the Tech2 believes you are working on a 2004 or later H2, the menu selections to clear the navigation VIN theftlock will be available.

I understand and Thank you for this valuable input and saving me multiple trips to our dumb ass dealer here. Since it's an '05 TNR, why not put in '05 instead of '04...or does it matter? Just curious. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I also want to Thank Klaus for his install guide as well.
