For anyone in New England, I just spoke with Hummer in Norwood, MA and they have a red lux in their showroom until 5:00 tomorrow. It's not 4 sale, but it will be my 1st chance to see one in person. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Went and saw it this morning. It was a red lux without the offroad pkg. I didn't get to drive it as it is owned by a retired GM exec and not for sale. My thoughts:

Pros
1. Even nicer looking in person!
2. Size was comparable to a expedition only a foot or 2 shorter. Good sized but not too small or too big.
3. Good leg room in the back seats (I have 2 kids...this is important or you get the "kicking of the front seats" game)
4. Nice looking/quality interior. Doesn't look like a GM interior (thank god!) http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
5. The red is a nice shade, but I want the slate blue
6. The smaller tires don't look bad at all on the truck. Very surprised as some of the pics I have seen make the smaller tires look too small for the truck. My guess is they may if you park next to another H3 with the big tires.
7. This dealer will accept the GM supplier discount.

Cons:

1. I want slate blue metallic, so they can't even take my order yet (well, they would take my money but it wouldn't be placed on order yet as the GM system won't accept it). This is a real bummer. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
2. No lease residual amount yet.
3. No orders for chrome fuel door or roof marker lights. But they are working out an installation deal with the OEM lights and a local GM certified installer so he said I could get them.
4. The cargo area could be a bit longer.
5. Only 1 cup holder pulls out from between the rear seats (wtf?)??? Instant source of an argument from the kids.

As you can see, most of my cons are "early purchase" related. To be honest, I would have placed the order for it today if they system would accept a slate blue order. I liked it a lot and will be getting one when the blue becomes available.

The cup holder in the back seat does fit two cups. It only looks like one, but the other cup fits in the empty slot when you pull it open. I own a H3 already. See pics.

Hey skeeter, can you post more picks? I'd like to see more pics from the interior, is it the ebony cloth interior right?

Sure thing, I will have some time tomorrow to take some more pics. I have the dark ebony cloth. Trust ME, you guys are going to want one of these.

Also (loadedh3) I cant keep my wife out of my H3, she is nuts about it. I just hope we dont end up like that commerial where we both try to wake up earlier to see who gets out the door first. My wife is an outdoor girl. She wont drive anything with out a sunroof, or a drop top.

I am glas your wife likes it...I was beginning to think I was the only woman out there interested in an H3! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Please post more pics! Interior photos especially! Would love to see the back seat with a tape measure across it to see how big it actually is. How is the back seat for adults? My kids are 15 & 19--so I need to make sure it has plenty of leg room as they are tall! Good to know about the cup holder too. It is hard for me to guage how big this H3 really is--all the photos of it are just by itself so you get no spacial sense of it. Why doesn't GM park an H2 next to it and snap a photo for their brochure or better yet put that in a commercail?? If I were their marketing department I would have gotten on that a long time ago. Many people love the H2 but think it's too big so the H3 is perfect for them--but they don't know it yet.

H34me,

There are some pics here in the forum of an H2 sitting next to an H3. You can also go to Hummer.com and there is a section where you can do a comparison of the two.
