If not, has or will anything be made to accomplish this?

Good or bad idea?

I was reading about these just a few days ago. If they made this for the H2 and you add a 2 inch lift to clear 37s (because of the new articulation), add a front locker and take off 2000 lbs of weight (doors, gate and sawsall a slant back on a SUV) I think we have a winner.

OMG I'm dreaming again! Maybe ;);)

It's fun to dream a little.:)

I have seriously been looking into it lately.

It would be fairly expensive if you add all the mods to complete it. A SFA in the front would add more articulation in which you would need to allow for in the rear as well. But just because you go with a SAS does not mean you will saw up your rig and try to make it some sort of rock buggy. It would just be bad ass and solid.:D:cool:

A linked high pinion kingpin Dana 60 (Used from an early 90's Ford) and some fabbed coilovers/leafsprings would prolly work. I am still figuring a plan for other adjustments and room for 38's. All without making it look like some uber ghey 80's mullet monster. Not that I will prolly do it, just a dream.;):D

I just saw the $1,400 price tag on the kit on the Off Road Unlimited GM 2500 version and was wondering if it could be done without breaking the bank. But it doesn't sound like it. I'll probably settle for getting a front end locker in a few months and go from there.

OTHER PARTS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE CONVERSION:
An exhaust modification is required with this kit.
A non Autotrac transfer case is required on Suburbans and Avalanches.
Crossover Steering Kit.
Front axle assembly with 32?" spring pad width.
Front leaf springs (88-91 Chevy Blazer or Suburban type).
Front & rear shocks.
Brake lines.
Front drive shaft (contact your local drive shaft specialist).
Front u-bolts.
Steering box with "4 blind" sector shaft.
Front Slip Yoke eliminator. Rear springs and/or rear block and u-bolts.

Offroad Unlimited is near me. I saw that H2 a few years ago, they do very nice work (but $$$). I was there yesterday actually looking at some shocks.

They are on Victory just south of Magnolia in Burbank for anyone in the LA area that's curious. There are always some really nice trucks for sale out front.
