i am installiing a single 12" sub/box combo(jl audio) and was wondering how you guys are facing the sub...towards the backseat or towards to rear window. i listen to all types of music and i am looking for the best sound quality. i have done it both ways and it seems that if i face it towards the rear window, the bass seems louder but if i face it towards the backseat, it seems deeper. i am not a audio expert so any input would help me out. thanks in advance.

the base need a certain amout of space to travel before you can hear the full effect. thats why alot of people face the subs back wards so it will bounce off the back and travel farther.

Ive been playing around with the idea of putting a sub in my truck(well i actually have the sub just havent installed it) and im thinking my box will be longer and wider than it is tall and fit between my third row seat and the other side of the truck. Im leaning towards a down firing box(for stealth look and to keep it from getting damaged) with the port facing the rear(the port is not shown in the picture).

I did this in my Landcruiser and I made it to be moved or taken out at anytime.

i listen to all kinds of music as well...but i LOVE head-rattling low-end...

i've always aimed mine up (and if u put enough power to 'em...they'll rock any old way!)

Are those the single channel RF Amps? whats the watts your pushing now? Looks neat for shows. I have a RF Deck and love the 5.1.

keep in mind that the already custom made JL AUDIO STEALTHBOX for the H2 actually has a 12 inch sub in it and faces sideways!

it fits into the rear pocket in the trunk wheel well and faces the passenger side of the car.

supposedly with incredly sounding bass

Hi Phil,

I had the same vibration in (pa.one of my) LC's (for pa. notice the r/s steering wheel) (for pa. not in us and not used offroad!)and took care of it with dynomat. I am not sure when you remove the rear lift panel if you will be able to get inside the door. I have never had a reason yet to remove it yet. Mabee I should go take it apart one time?
