type in anything in the year before 1980, you'll be fine

Looks pretty similar to my potato gun. You can also go w/lower pressure, 6" ABS pipe for the barrel, and a 4" ball valve - will shoot a small cantalope about 100-120 yards.

I'm currently working on a 8" gun, hoping to be able to shoot larger stuff. Hardest part is finding a valve that will open up fast enough to release the air, but can flow enough air to push out a couple pound fruit-thing.

You mean you can just lie? What if I get caught, is the penalty worse than getting caught using a fake id to buy beer?

I think I'll just add this to my list of things to do after I turn 21, right under booking a petting zoo under my own name.

;) :D

I have always used pvc pipe with a small propane cylinder with a oneway fill valve with a push button grill igniter. It will launch anything loudly.

My buddy recommended the same thing. I've always preffered compressed air - just a little scared of blowing myself up I guess...:)

Wrap the pipe in hurricane tape and no worries!
