I'm having huge trouble finding new tires for sale. Even considering used or retreads.
My vehicle is a 2000 soft-top.
Here are the details if anyone can help.

I could not find Tires anywhere for my 2000 wagon. The army had a lock on ALL of them. But I got a multi ply truck A/T tire and they are perfect, smooth and quiet.

BFGoodrich KO/AT 35X12 sor 16.5 multiply

$200 each but make sure you get a new front and rear alignment.. good luck

Contact Lynch Hummer in Missouri, they have Adventurer tires in the MT/R tread pattern for 16.5" wheels. Very good quality.

What you goin to use them for's the main question, next is how much you want to pay.

If you just want something for off road get a set of used militery ones of ebay. and a set of rims you can smack up without gettin too pissed. if you want good tires for the road try tireking.

Lots of choices still for 16.5's

As mentioned Lynch has the Unicure retreads.
Super Swamper IROK's available in stock size
PJ Dirt Grips in stock size and 38X15.5X16.5

There are some others as well. I currently run the Swampers. Nice tire. Well mannered onroad and great off-road. I ran the 38 PJ's for about 6-9 months. Wonderful offroad. Horrible on suspension http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Got my tires from National Tire and Wheel. The Swampers are just under $300/ea. shipped.

Watch the retreads. There was a large batch of retreads that failed. According to Unicure it has now been resolved. Make sure you get some assurance if you buy retreads. The people I know who had failures had to pay shipping both ways to get any type of warranty coverage.

Personally, I'd stick with something new.
