I bet it's more reliable without the CTIS and runflats.

Runflats Yes.

CTIS no. I honestly do not see the need to complain about something that no other vehicle (besides the Unimog) has.

As for the picture. I think I am going to be sick. But it is not as bad as a Yellow Open Top that I saw on cardomain a couple of years ago.

mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn,
you guys are a buncha sweethearts here....I didnt post it to be asked stupid questions ie:PARAGONdo you feel the slightest bit of embarrassment? ....I just thought I'd share a few pics of something "I" thought looked good...fit perfectly without modifying anything and NO rub...so if it didnt affect anything but the ride (which it improved 100%) who cares? and I dont wanna hear a bunch of techinical crap because the only thing it is used for is as a tow vehicle as far as grunt work goes...so anyways thanks for the warm welcome guys!

So, instead of technical crap, you trying to say that you put 22" chrome ugly ass wheels on an H1, destroying all character the vehcle once owned, because YOU say it improved the ride of a log truck by 100%?

On top of that, it's now a tow vehicle...... A truck that has a hard time getting of it's own way on the highway.

Dump the wheels and take the thing where it belongs, off the pavement.

Polish out??? That's hilarious right there!!! You damn well better save those original wheels & tires - you're going to need them. Please be sure to post a thread about how you bent one of those blinger rims or peeled the chrome off one(or hopefully all 4) and then tried unsuccessfully to "polish it out". We love those kind of laughs.

Yes polish out.... they are Polished Aluminum NOT blingy Chrome and are actually pretty strong but EVERY wheel is prone too bending with extreme use even the stocks... heres a line from one of Welds testimonials A: Aside from its good looks, we chose the "Cheyenne 8" pattern because eight spokes radiating from each lug is an inherently strong design. During thousands of miles of prerunning and racing in Baja, we still haven't been able to break or impede the function of these wheels. We have bent them, BUT they have never failed.

Hey J.T. aren't you glad you stopped by:eek: . Rig looks good, probably not the best setup for some of the extreme stuff these guys do but I've seen alot more H2s with your type of setups that never see the dirt than H1s. If you can afford the truck with those wheels, something tells me you can afford to replace what gets damaged offroad. ;)

better add 4 new geared hubs (as well as all the front suspension parts) to the list of things you'll screw up with those wheels.

As much as I dont think 22's are ment to be on an H1, its nothing new. Look on Ebay right now and there are several h1's with big rim set ups on them. I usually shake my head at people who slap big rims on an h1. But this really isnt so bad, I have seen much worse. These rims at least somewhat go with the truck. lol and even though he stood up for the h1, and said it can get more than out of its own way... it cant! hahaha, but I do bet the ride is smoother now the run flats suck ass. Nice truck if I saw you drive by Id miss the 03 h1 we had, and be jealous of the soft top, must be fun in good weather.

That H1 looks like a real BAD ASS TRUCK! Thought it was new, then I saw -2003!! You must be VERY satisfied!! Those fat rims is sweet on it!

And, as you have noticed, your gonna be bullied if you have anything over 18 inch here! Just count on it! Happen to me too:lame:
Here you must have mud up over your roof and tractortires to be accepted unfortunately... And forget to wash your car:twak:
But, anyway I like to be here, for there is really cool to look at all offroadpics too!!

I like it, and the Weld 8's are pretty freakin strong. but you can beat on them or not, your rig your choices. Its a shame that hummer enthusiasts dont appreciate the need or desire to be different. If I wanted to be the same as everyone else I would go get a jeep. Some day I too hope to own an H1, I might even put 22" on it.

Looks Good and welcome to the Forum!

Agreed! It's a strange phenomenon that if you do something that others wouldn't do, they feel threatened and get hostile. Putting 22's on an H1 designed for offroad is no different than the 1000's of Corvettes, Porsches, Vipers, Lamborghini's on big chrome rims that never see race track use. Do you guys show hostility towards them too? Your H1 looks sharp dude and it will still kick ass off-road, 22's or not.
