and they'll go offroading with time, i'd imagine. The local dealer has started lifting them and putting gnarly tires on before putting them in the lot, and they look pretty good in black.

But i think the Taco will always be a better starting point for an offroadin truck, as it has more clearance under the body in stock form and probably works with the same lifts, etc.

or is there something i'm missing?

Your frontal lobe. The only people I've seen driving them have been women and effeminate "males". KY/FJ:OWNED:

Well, i guess i haven't paid much attention to who was driving one, maybe i should, and you may well be right.

But the local dealer sells them with lifts and knobby tires, and those look alot meaner than the stock ones. Also, in a quick look under the KY the other day, it looks like a blend of 4runner and Taco. It seems to have far more clearance under the body than the 4 runner. The 4-runner "limited" is pretty frightening underneath... it appears to have lots of innerds hanging down waiting to get eaten.

So i don't know, i realize that that DTHLV or whatever is pretentiously trolling, and a little silly, but the FJ isn't that bad of a truck. Would i expect it to be a match for my Rubi or an H3... no. :twak:

But if they put a locking t-case (its true that it lacks a locking t-case / center differential, no?) on the thing to allow someone to force 3 wheel drive with the rear locker, it won't be bad offroad.

I sort of support Shaggy's comments in one of those FJ threads where he hypothesizes that lots of trucks could do some hard trails at Moab (or whichever trail he used as an example).

And I certainly would not want to drive the ugly KY on the street.

Actually, the REVTEK FJ is pretty damn cool. The color is for ghey people, but the rig is ok.:D

I agree with Steve about the style - it isn't to my taste, especially in yellow or blue or maroon. Black is the best color IMO. But whateva, to each their own and the rest of that touching speech.

Since the closest color to the godlike PEWTER is silver I'd go with that.:D

there's a new '05 pewter SUT for a sickly good price at a dealer not too far from me. Its a cool color, but i think white works best on basically any old vehicle. :D

x2!! :D

Plus the ghey white roof doesn't stand out so bad on the silver ones.
