:giggling: :giggling:

I was at the gas station just before, filling up the truck and I had 3 - 5gallon containers for my generator. A guy in an echo or something pulled up to the other side of the pump and said...

treehugger: I bet you need all that just to get down to the end of the block huh, (pointing at my gas cans).

me: (as I'm pumping gas into my truck), nah, the truck runs completely on compressed air (pointing to the bottom of my truck for some reason), the gas is for my generator.

treehugger: It still probably uses an excessive amount of compressed air.

me: :giggling: :giggling: :giggling: :OWNED:

Only other time I've gotten to have fun at the gas station with a hippie, I was asked why I thought I needed such a big truck, and I responded, oh..it's just a loaner while my h2 is getting a supercharger installed, and that shut them up. Since they have preprogrammed responses, it's fun to mess them up. :D

Anyways, just thought I'd share...anyone else get to have any fun messing with the crazies?

I am pretty unoriginal, so I usually just tell people that it gets the same fuel economy as a Jetta.* Whether they believe me or not, you are right; they usually shut up because they don't know what to say, since it doesn't fit into their pre-programmed routine.

I point to my "hybrid synergy drive" prius emblem and tell them I put two Prius motors in it and it gets "about 30 on the highway".

In my first 5 tank fulls, I am getting about 19.5 MPH. :) Mostly Highway. But 2 tanks where the truck was filled with equipment, camping gear, vacation crap.

When I got out of my truck at the hotel this past weekend in Lake Placid, 4 year old boy was walking out and yelled "Nice Hummer!" :) It was great.

Or you could try the most un-original comeback in the world:

Look at them and say:

BLOW.........ME

Not very clever, but it sure would feel good saying it....

Reminds me of me the other day ... I was listening to XM, driving along .. and a Prius rushed (:giggling: ) up alongside. I looked down and a senior looked up at me grinning and tried to floor it. I thought, WT????? So, I went picked up speed (up to 40 to pass him :giggling:) ...he actually thought he was trying to pass me?!?! :giggling:

My H3 Rig's on order and should be here sometime in Sept 2007. Last time I had a run in with a tree hugger was when I was fueling up my Land Yatch 1973 Thunderchicken. (9 Miles to the Gallon) ..But that's ok..only have to go 9 miles to work.

He says:....Bet that's a real gas hog..why don't you get rid of that thing and get something more fuel efficent...

Me Said: ..Why Don't You Kiss My Ass...:perfect10s:

He gives me the evil eye from the other side of the gas pump island and get's in his V-Dub and putt's away...:giggling:

I went to get lunch a little while ago and I was getting back in my truck when I got a somewhat evil eye from a couple of guys walking by leaving the dog groomers. Thought about saying something but decided they owned themselves since they were each walking a poodles together and the ownage was sealed when they walked up to a Prius :giggling:

Was filling up the H-3 today and had 6 - 5 gal cans with me to to fill up also (tropical storm ERNESTO is due in about an hour ) for my generator...

A guy in an H-2 was next to me filling up and he said:

I thought the 3 was suppose to get better mileage then the 2.

my answer to him :

NO, with the twin TURBOS it only gets about 4 MPH

He just shook hit head, got in his truck and drove off...

Did you zip up your fly and was the hotel hosting a NAMBLA convention?:giggling:

WELCOME! The North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) was formed in 1978. It was inspired by the success of a campaign based in Boston's gay community to defend against a local witchhunt. NAMBLA's goal is to end the extreme oppression of men and boys in mutually consensual relationships by:
building understanding and support for such relationships;
educating the general public on the benevolent nature of man/boy love;
cooperating with lesbian, gay, feminist, and other liberation movements;
supporting the liberation of persons of all ages from sexual prejudice and oppression.
Our membership is open to everyone sympathetic to man/boy love and personal freedom.

Not seeing the hate here in the liberal Silicon Valley. Too much money here continues to drive Hummer sales.

DDWH - you are far more likely to have deadly run-ins on your road bike than in your Hummer. Been there, done that with the cycling/racing stuff.
