Anybody know:
- if is a readily obtained part?
- a part number for '03 SUV? IS THAT NUMBER IN THE CORNER A VALID PART ID? It did not pop up on gmpartsdirect.com.

I'm considering adding some goodies back there and wanted to avoid fabbing a tray since I don't really do that kind of stuff, at least not with metal.

FYI:
Dealer parts dude says, "Unfortunately, this part is not sold separately and must be ordered as the complete compressor. Cost is $1,170.72." ! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif ! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif !

I guess I'll figure out how to make my own.

Gee, I love having conversations with myself.

i got the same answer from the dealer. someone else told me to try a battery tray and mod it. they're beefy, and should handle the weight of the compressor. or buy a portable and carry it inside.

That'll be where I start. But an air compressor isn't one of the goodies I plan to put there http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
