I think it's pretty cool, but kinda A-team looking. Something they would of built to bust through a "out on the docks' warehouse and get in a gun fight, truck.:D

All due respect Ernie, if it's made in France, it will run from the rocks...:giggling: Not kill them.:D

In the H4 section, below, we've talked about the H4 as it's going to compete with the Wrangler.

Believe me,that is NO H4. Being made in France, for the military, I'm sure it has a six speed tran....6 rear gears, one forward.

Not a bad hill at the end tho ... muddy, steep, tall shelf and sharp turn. There was some front wheel spin, but then it locked up, so it must have a traction control system or you can lock the front on the fly.

They didn't give many specs during the spot, but they did say it's an inline 6 that originally got 224 HP, but was modified to make 300-320 HP and 46 kg-m of torque (about 330 ft-lbs). Sounded like they said diesel, but hard to tell with all that terminator music.

And they said learning french would be a waste of time :D

Is that the definition of bling?

Anyone notice it Interco Thornbirds for tires? You'd think they would want a tire that actually got traction off road.

I must say I loved the Indiana Jones theme at the end:popcorn:

I thought a Gazelle was a small/quick/nimble deer? I bet that video spot was a joke, probably a modified H2 under all that crap. btw - I actually expected those two dudes to kiss at the end of that show to top it all off.... :) :dancingbanana: :p

Here's a short article on the Gazelle.

www.routiers.com/sejtbases/routiers/825/825p012-014.pdf (http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/www.routiers.com/sejtbases/routiers/825/825p012-014.pdf)

Doesn't say much except that it's a 2.5 ton 4x4 based loosely on the Sherpa 2. Also, a 6x6 and armored versions are planned and the Belgian and French armies are very interested (big surprise there). Industry analysts were surprised to see this prototype developed by Renault Trucks, which is part of the AB Volvo group, instead of the Renault Automobile-Nissan group.

Funny thing ... they say it looks too much the Hummer and will have to be redesigned more like the Sherpa 2 already in production.

ok that's weird. I just tested the link and it gives you a 404 error, but you still can right-click and "save as" to download the pdf

Here's a screenshot for Ernie Italy if he's curious.
