I've decided to upgrade my steering stabilizer, but in removing the old one, the bolt on the passenger side (non moving side) I cannot remove, I have the nut off, but can't get the bolt out, is this bolt threaded into part of the steering, or does it pound out? I tried a wrench on the square (or whatever shape it is) but could not get it to budge, I didn't want to put too much torque on it. Anybody know? Thanks

Go to local Auto Zone and rent a suspension fork and it will pop right off. I tried everything and couldn't get it off until I rented the fork.

I haven't looked at the H2 but if it is anything like any other car be careful not to tear the rubber boot when using the fork!

Those suspension forks are sometimes called "pickle forks" depending on who you're dealing with.

If the guy behind the counter is wearing a trucker hat and he looks like he just finished up rebuilding a 383 on his lunch hour, ask for a pickle fork......

Thanks for the replys.

The in-laws have a set in their heavy equipment shop.
Will give that a try. I just wasn't sure if the bolt was threaded through every thing.
