We have just installed the Tire-Lift rear tire carrier, and all I can say is...Wow! It's a solid carrier, and the lowering/lifting mechanism works great. I will have photos soon. I think the URL is www.tire-lift.com (http://www.tire-lift.com) if you want to see what it looks like.
