Driver mirror will not fold, mirror (glass moves down) post does not fold. Pass ok. Have checked for fuses cannot find one for the mirrors. What do I need to do here?

Thanks, Be Safe

I don't know what the cost is for the mirrors in the US, but here in Canada they are about $1,100/each. OUCH!

I think mine's the same, the motor seemed to be getting tired & then stopped working completely! there seems to be quite a few used mirrors on ebay in good condition for under $100, which might be worth considering?

Was quoted $400.00 the other day. (USD)
all I need is the glass portion and was told I had to buy the whole shebang to get the glass.:crying:

New style mirror or old style mirror? If old style, take it apart and clean the terminals to the motor...then drill a small drain hole for water to get out....good as new. - try searching for the repair thread...

hey man forget paying all that money for mirrors , try to reset them, if not take them apart and off the door , take the E-clip that holds the top of mirror to base, clean it out very well add grease and clean the rust off of the E-clip put it together and it should work just like new.ck these liks out!

I believe I read in the manual the other day that the mirriors will not work right if someone has pulled the or bumped them pretty good.

Check the your manual I believe it says to push the mirrors all the way in and out about three times and the motors and electronics will reset. I'm having trouble remembering the exact procedure, but it is in your manual. Hope it is as simple as that for you.

I don't know what you did to it but I just read in a post a couple before yours that the Hummer went a mile down the river submerged and it didn't even damage the skin. You must be too nice to your truck. Think of it like a woman Treat it rough and it will love you more for it. Regards The Rebel Disclaimer all you women libbers "just kiddin" and the rest of you Rednecks you know exactly what I mean.

Both the driver's side and rear view are autodimming, the passenger is not...

Seems there was a GM service note on this. I got both of mine replaced 2 years ago under a warranty or recall...I'll try to find it.
