I was always a flush a guy, until I recently have come to the conclusion that that the flesh guys are mostly right!

Flesh it out and see you come up with.

what debate, that's pretty dumb. Both idioms are used all the time. You give a brief idea about something and then say you will "flesh it out" later to give it more substance and work out the details.
On the other hand, you are working on a project and have all sorts of questions and ideas that are unclear and you state you'll "flush it out" and report back what you figured out.

Flesh out - expand upon; work out the details; build up.
Flush out - clear out; so as to locate something; eliminate or remove the noise.
Well have to let the language correctness console argue about it though. I've got to remove my center council to do some more wiring projects. ;)

If I wanted you're advise, I would have axed for it.
If I wanted you're advise, I would have axed for it. I think he was just insuring that your point was solidly made. Incorrect does mean the same as correct, no?
