HMMWV FOR SALE UNDER $20K

This is a clean ex-military HMMWV. We have too much money tied up right now in parts and trucks, only asking $19,900 or B/O, cash; no trades, no financing. 6.2L NA diesel, 3-speed auto, runs and drives great; just needs new glowplugs and has oneheadlight out -- both of which will be taken care of before sale. This truck has under 14k miles on it, and features a 24v winch on the front. Has a complete pioneer kit under the truck bed and a pintle hitch on the rear. Other than that it is a basic 4-man soft-top confuration with perfect top, doors, good tread on tires... this thing is ready to roll. Previously registered in New Hampshire, has rear license plate light and bracket. The downside; it has been painted green by previous owner. Other than that, this is a great truck!

I like the AM General logo on the back.

I know... I am tempted to swap my civilian "HUMMER" tailgate (which is currently hanging in my garage since I have a custom tubular tailgate on my rig) onto it and keep that one for myself :)

I like the AM General logo on the back.

I'd like to get some AM General emblems made and replace all the Hummer one's on my truck with them... Does anyone have the original AM General emblem in a format that I could take to someone to get emblems made?

HUMMERDOGG, there are a few people you could talk to. I would start by hitting Raveheart up on the HML, he should have the capacity to do that for you. There is a seller on ebay that makes HUMMER signs(still need to get mine):

This guy could probably fab what you want to size too. If I think of anyone else I'll let you know.

No extended warranties, if that's what you mean ;)

Parts are pretty readily available, and nearly every diesel truck shop on the planet has an ex-military guy who has worked on HMMWV's before -- and they are actually easy to work on yourself. No electronically controlled stuff, straight up mechanical all around... no creature comforts to crap out on you.

I take it you're on your own with maintenance and repairs for one of these??

What year is it? It was weird looking at the photos, b/c it's the first time I looked at that interior in, like, 10 years. Used to practically live in one. Not comfortable. But the key is being the driver. Driver seat sits on crude springs, but springs nonetheless. Passenger seat is a pad on top of an aluminum box with tools inside. Lt. Hand, 24th Mar. HQ Co., who i drove around in DS threatened several times to send me to Leavenworth when i forgot that his seat was like a rock as I would take bumps at 40 mph. I eventually learned. And I hope he thinks back and regrets yelling at such a nice Corporal.
