In "El Nino" fashion, we are expecting more snow than last week's storm brought us. I sure wish I would get a chance to drive the new little car. Been stranded in one garage or another for WEEKS now.

Here is some info for the Aurora people

Aurora is also in Bad need of Emergency 4X4 volunteers.

In the midst of the recovery process of last weeks blizzard and the potential for following blizzard/winter like conditions here in the metro area this week and the rest of the winter, we had many citizens volunteer their services and 4x4 vehicles for operations such as transporting key personnel to hospitals and/or dialysis patients to and from clinics. The police currently maintain this list of volunteers; however, they were very overwhelmed with life safety missions, understandably.

This email is designed as the first step process for adding to this list of volunteers within the city that currently own and operate 4x4 vehicles and are willing to aid in operations. We are not exactly sure of the process at this moment, especially for those wanting to participate in this upcoming potential storm, however we do know that we will require everyone pass a background check and sign a volunteer waiver form.

This email is designed to give us some idea of people that would be willing and able to aid the City in operations. If you are interested, please email me (jrodrigu@auroragov.org) to let me know?if you could provide name, contact information, and type of vehicle, it would be appreciated. As soon as we have further information we will contact those interested.

I'm willing to drive the Coors guys to work in Golden. No one should be without beer over the holidays.

That is important. My next door neighbor is an IT geek there. Does he count?

I think that everyone should get out and help, not just the 4x4 guys. Check out this middle age finance guy. He struggles a bit, but you can see he's determined to do his share.

I would love to help out FEAT, but I'm too busy pulling dumba$$ drivers out of the ditch. It's more profitable too.
