I think we might stay home and let all of the crazy people fight it out. Or if we do something, we might go over to a friends house that has kids the same age as ours and shoot fireworks and stuff. Not sure yet.

hide! j/k
We do not go out New years eve, to many drunk drivers and other non-driving fools to deal with. Normally all the nieghbors hang outside and stagger from house to house then pass out before 10pm....
lucky for us we live on a private dead end street, old ppl with canes can not move fast enough :giggling:

X2 except the Dead end street, but lots of old people and I have a heavy cane.:D
Hopefully I will be able to stay up for the ball drop. Dick Clark will be doing it again, I had a hard time listening to him last year.

I have a large hill behind the house where I can watch about 4 sets of fireworks from. The family and I will probably walk up there and watch the fireworks displays. The second idea is sleep. We really haven't decided yet.

Normally I hide since it is amateur night and due to too many idiots on the road (well, more idiots than normal). However, this NY Eve, I have an offer to do a ride along with a Sheriff.

Take a video camera along and tape your own little version of cops only to be shown on Elcova TV.

Having our annual EARLY dinner with our son at The Cheesecake Factory, then going home to watch the festivities on tv ... maybe watch a movie. Too many crazies out on the road ALL DAY Dec. 31. New Year's Day dinner our at my parent's home with football watching.
(Mrs.ssippi, our Jackson friends will be having dinner at Olga's .. one of those pre-set time dinners for New Year's Eve).
HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVERYONE!!

I was sure I'd have to work since I'm a cop...but, shockingly, I have the night off. Problem is that I now don't have a clue what I'm going to do. Oddly enough, it's more fun to work that night than to be in a bar/club on amature night. Lots of fights, stabbings, etc, to go to.
I've been incredibly busy the past 3 weeks and really haven't relaxed at all, so I'll probably just stay home. I'm going off roading New Years day, so I'll need to get some decent sleep anyways.

If I go, I can't take my own handgun:crying: Doubt if they would let me take my video camera; doubt if my 15 year old video camera still works.:dancingbanana:

I have no idea. Sleep sounds good, but I'm sure someone will call me and beg me to come out. Glad I have the H2 to defend myself again the drunken bastards. Of course, that plan only works if they aren't driving school buses.

It's the first New Years I've had off in awhile. Another guy volunteered because he doesn't want to go out with his GF.
I plan on sitting home with a scarred puppy. She hates fireworks... Nothing worse than 50 lbs of shivering dog. Well... At least she doesn't weight 100 lbs.:D
New Years day I'm going to run some trails in the desert.:excited:

Yeah, we ate steaks and oven baked potatoes, later we had a vanilla icecream with homemade chocolate sauce and chopped walnuts. Then we finished it off with a couple of M-90s in the driveway and running back inside.:giggling:
