That's a good first step. That should point them in a more specific direction. Gonna end up being some nobody assh*le with no reason for what he did.

I think the whole thing sucks, and I don't want to seem heartless, but damn he was a pretty good corner. He was young and still improving. He is gonna be tough to replace. The Broncos could have spent the energy and money to fill positions that WERE more important.

I have read many reports about this and I've come to this conclusion...:

It is a terrible tragedy that this happened. He was a good football player and a succesful young man. On the flip side, people (including Darrent) need to be more aware of the type of people they are associating with and even more than that, need to watch their mouths. It sounds like Darrent was running his mouth at a ****ty, shanty little club downtown, with known gang members around, and the **** talking was going on all night long. Like so many others that find themselves in this situation, he was talking back to the wrong person. Hell one report says Darrent was hanging out with a couple "local rappers" (his cousin) that night who were dressed in all red. The club they went to, was frequented by members of a local crip gang...........:twak: It is a very sad situation that unfortunately was prob brought on by BOOZE, EGOS, and WORDS and unfortunately it happens to many good, honest, and wonderful people.

RIP Darrent Williams............Be smart and watch yourselved to the rest of you. There are wayyyyyyy to many cooookoo nuts jobs out there.

If you are going to "talk hard core"

If you are going to "run your mouth like you are hard core"

If you are going to "hang with people that act hard core"

Then you are destin to die "Hard Core"

I felt the same way in Moab. The thugs are crazy around there. I felt like I always needed to look over my shoulder. The guy that would follow us down the street made me feel DRTY. :giggling:

Yea, I understand this theory. Have a couple local cops in my family that carry at all times. I myself just dont feel like hiding myself behind my handgun. I dont have any reason at all to need to carry a handgun with me while going down to my local bar for a beer. We all can be in the wrong place at the wrong time and a handgun strapped at all times just isn't me...:beerchug:

Yea but DRTY thugs like that are just looking for some muskrat or beaver to hunt. They tend to be kinda stinky and ugly but are not much of a threat to anything other then helpless rabbits and deer...:fdance:

JUST WOW>>>>>>>>.

"Nearly 800 people had gathered at Shelter on New Year's Eve to celebrate the birthday of Nuggets player Kenyon Martin.

A person with Williams at the club was said to be dressed all in red, a color commonly associated with the Bloods gang. Sources tell 9NEWS that while at the nightclub, that person was in an altercation with other club-goers dressed in all blue, a color commonly associated with the Crips gang.

Hours later, the limo was sprayed with bullets near 11th and Speer Blvd."

THE SHELTER NIGHT CLUB??? .....Huge **** hole in the wall gang banger hang out. Good job Kenyon Martin, great place to hold your B-day party...:lame:

This is so true, I agree with it (but don't have any LE in my family). Somtimes even the nicest guy that may be straped is going to drink and talk shait and then its all down hill from there.
I live outside of Orlando FL, beachside. I just don't go there anymore. It has gotten out of control, even in the best of places.

I dont have any reason at all to need to carry a handgun with me while going down to my local bar for a beer.nor does anyone else.... it's against the law in most, if not all, states.

hiding myself behind my handgun.

I don't believe those who carry handguns are hiding behind them. If someone comes up to fight for no reason, you can't pull a gun and shoot 'em, even if you are a LE officer. The reason to carry a handgun could be due to making it even for those who want your vehicle, money, girlfriend, etc., or for those who have pissed off a lot of nasty people in years past. (One reason why they passed a law to allow retired police to carry a handgun per state regs, without having to obtan a handgun permit from the state.)

It may have something to do where you live. In the Detroit area, car jacking is a sport, so to protect your vehicle, and occupants, at times, especially in certain places carrying a handgun is not "hiding behind" it, it is logical.

I carry. I got my CWP because fo the amount of chash i deal with for work. However, i dont see how having a handgun would have protected anyone when some crazy person decides to shoot into the car you are in...

The truck was found in a place where a lot of cars are abandoned.... Right down the street from teh golf course i live on  . I can give someone a great deal on a house in Green Valley if they are interested.

Its all very sad.
