A neighbor of mine is a Marine who served in WWII, he also was a dentist and a past client of a company I co-own.

Anyway, he told me about something that he and a group were doing where they make something called angel boxes or angel cradles. When infants pass away the parents were forced to take the bodies away in cardboard boxes that the hospitals provided and it just wasn't right. They make these handmade "angel cradles" and donated them.

It was featured in our paper today: http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2007701060314

He had talked to me in the past about trying to spread the idea and also get someone to build a website or something to collect monetary donations for these old guys to buy the wood to make these and for the little old ladies to get the material to make the inserts. I had acquired the domain angelcradles.com with the intent of helping them out, but I really need some help trying to help put it together.

I'm also not sure if it's something that shouldn't be a non-profit idea that provides something for other communities as well. This doesn't just occur in here in this city. Read the article at the link above and let me know if you have any ideas.

Paragon,
Yes, this should be a Non-Profit or a Not for profit. By doing so it will help bring in more donations. You will have to talk with a Tax advisor or local CPA about which to use.

This is a great idea, it should be a success!

I agree completely.

Any parent here should be able to recognize how incredibly painful this time would be for another parent in this situation.

Anything that helped them at a time like this, will probably be remembered by them, forever.
