DENVER WINS DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION

National Democrats announced today that they have picked Denver over New York for the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Denver's selection brings the high-profile political gathering to the Pepsi Center in August 2008 -- exactly 100 years after the city hosted its first and only national party convention. About 35,000 delegates and journalists are expected for what business leaders hope will mean a more than $160 million boon for the city.
Sheez. You all will have to do one hell of a job selling that area to us, now.

Ken, Have you all ruled out FL??

There are three houses on my street ranging from 300 to 650K.
Walk to the beach, 35 min from Orlando Airport (OIA) and 45 mins to down town Orlando. Port of Canaveral 1/2 mile all the cruise ships and casnio boats. Nice water front bars. Watch the Space Shuttle and rockets from your yard. Queit dead end street (not a culdasac) 12 house in all. Walk to the river. Very very dog friendly street. NO HOA!
My elec last month was $77.00, my water/sewer/trash etc was $41.00

ah damn I just sold myself again on why I live here....:D

In defense of Denver, isn't that kind of like the GOP having its convention in NY? I'd rather live in Denver than NY. (Denver is my favorite large city in the U.S. though). Dems aren't doing this because it's Massachusetts-like there. Most of the real lefties around there live in the People's Republic of Boulder.

ah damn I just sold myself again on why I live here....:DWe've been looking at Sanibel Island to Captiva and Fort Meyers Beach (NOT Fort Meyers!!!). Haven't looked at the east coast, tho. Isn't that where the hurricanes hit first?!

I'm not too thrilled with the idea of having to evacuate from storms, then worry that the house is even there when we return. That's especially scary for a barrier island.

They have came in exactly where you are looking at, for some reason the Gulf coast has more hits than we. Also look in St. Augustine, Ormond Beach.

Ken,
When you guys are ready from custom walkers, I'll weld something up for you.

Would BenGay be a good house-warming present for you? Maybe IcyHot?

I live in the same county as Melbourne and Sat Bch. North Melbourne is nice, area called Suntree is very nice and so is Viera. Don't bother with Sat Bch or Indialantic or Indian Harbour Bch those areas all suck..
here is our website for homes www.brevardmls.com

Avoid Titusville, Palm Bay and if you want some land look into Canaveral Groves, North Cocoa. Most homes are on a acre plus. You can find some awsume deals there still.
